Dust 514 Beta Sign Ups Begin
CCP Games, game company known for their smash hit EVE Online have been working on a free to play (F2P) first person shooter (FPS) specifically for the Playstation 3 called Dust 514. The company has already been doing a closed beta for the game but are taking entry's for a special open beta coming soon. You can sign up at the game's official website, testers will be slowly brought in during the summer and more details about the game will hopefully be released during E3 2012.
Street Fighter X Tekken Patch Fixes A Few Problems and Brings Out Something Worse
So for anyone who is big in the fighting game scene will know Street Fighter X Tekken has not been having a good time being received. Mostly due to the cheapness of some characters and the insurmountable amount of infinites with specific characters that pretty much ruin the game. But with a patch that was released to fix some of these problems a new one has been found. It's a game breaking one...
If anyone uses the character known as Rolento and uses a move he has having him jump in the air and throw a knife causes the game to freeze when it hits another projectile attack. Every. Time. So now one has to wonder what Capcom is going to do to fix this one but for now this pretty much now makes the game all but unplayable especially since Rolento is one of the most used characters in the game.
The video below shows the glitch in action.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance Special Edition Announced
For those outside of the Japan who have been waiting to sink their teeth into the new Kingdom Hearts game for the 3DS that time is almost at hand with that July 31st release date but yesterday the special edition of the game was announced called the: Mark of Mastery Edition. What gamers can get with edition are a branded magnetic box, a copy of Kingdom Hearts 3D, a case skin cover, and 12 art cards. You'll also receive five ARG cards that will allow you to unlock rare Dream Eaters. The special edition is gonna set you back 55 dollars though which isn't bad since the game is being boasted as a console game on handheld and for 10 dollars less then what a normal console game goes for that isn't half bad.

Mega Man and Pacman heading to Street Fighter x Tekken
Now I love fighting games, I love Street Fighter and I love Tekken both equally. I have been excited for this game like no other for the last few years and now with one swoop I wish I could avoid this game is I could. First off the Pacman addition is kinda cute and clever since it's the mascot of namco it feels like a great homage to pay respects as to where they came from.
But "Mega Man" just makes me sick, after all the garbage they have taken Mega Man they now put his name onto the bad box art style of the first game made him seem like some dude in his 30's overweight in spandex and safety helmet.....WTF.....
I am a big Mega Man fan and I would understand if you did this while they were making the Mega Man games that were canceled recently (Legends 3 and Universe) but then to also make Zero in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 have an alternate costume of Zero dressed as Mega Man X and now this?! Making him a joke character? To me and to others in the fanbase you keep on hurting us Capcom, your love of the blue bomber disgusts me since the only thing you think he's good for these days is to be laughed at from your stupid artists who couldn't draw for the life of them in America. I know this can come off as a fanboy ranting and raving which it kinda is but c'mon people Mega Man put Capcom on the map, give him some love rather then pick on him...
I thought this was Street Fighter x Tekken not Capcom x Namco...

3DS Circle Pad Pro, Why It Might Actually Be A Good Idea
Now for some people who may know I love my Nintendo 3DS I got it during the holidays and can't seem to ever wanna put it down. I have never in my life since I was 13 did I ever have so much fun with a Nintendo product (I still have all the consoles but as we all know the company has lost it's luster for quite some time). Now a few months ago we were told of a new accessory that would be made for the 3DS and some people wondered what it would be. What we got was something that made even me for a few months feel the company was pretty much something laughable. The 3DS Circle Pad Pro which was just an accessory that added an extra circle pad (analog stick), for most of the people who got a 3DS they felt that this oversized accesory was just a sad excuse for a poor design choice that was left out of the 3DS. I for one felt that and really did not want to get one at all but in the last few hours that has changed.
The new demo of Resident Evil: Revelations was released on the Nintendo E-shop and I got my hands on it to try it out. Now for everyone who does want that game you DO NOT need the Circle Pad Pro to play it and it feels as smooth as I thought it would without it. Movement is all on the one circle pad and holding the L button can make you slide left or right to take corners as to not be surprised at what you might find.
Now if the game makes good work at being very playable without the Circle Pad Pro then why buy it? I thought this during my demo run of the game and it hit me half way through it: camera movement, now everyone knows what the second analog stick has always been used to move your camera direction and as easy as it is to do in Revelations all I did was play a demo which was for the most part early on in the game it can get harder as we continue through the game making it probably near impossible to go without getting hit more since to move to see our area and walking on one analog can be a bit of a pain when we get about 6-7 enemies on us from all directions. Needless to say the game looks awesome especially with the recent price drop even before the game is released from 49.99 to 39.99 (due to people being a bit iffy as to why it was that high in the first place). The game boasts the chance to have a console sized game on a handheld so we shall see if it lives up to the hype on Febuary 7, 2012, when the game hits the US as well as the circle pad pro.

I am currently a college student working on getting my Associates in both game design and programming, I visit conventions a lot as well and like most people in that scene
I also like to cosplay as some of my favorite characters! One of which is Assassin's Creed II's Ezio Auditore (picture to the right)
I am also slowly growing more into the tournament scene of fighting games as I have found a good scene out here where I live. (Which will be kept hidden to people since I don't want stalkers ;] )
There are a lot more things about me that I will share when the time comes on here but for now as I write this my eyes grow weary and I need sleep. I hope you folks enjoy my blog and welcome to Symbiotic Games.
